Why games

Reading about paying off debt is easy. Choosing between rent, a car repair, and an extra debt payment in the same week is harder. A game lets you make that call, see what happens, and try again, with no real money at stake.

Who makes them

The games are made by SilverAppli, an independent app studio. Debt Escape and Grind & Dream are free on iPhone and Android. The browser versions on this site let you play one scenario of each before you download anything.

What the games are, and aren't

The numbers in both games are simplified so a run fits in one sitting. They're good for practicing decisions and seeing trade-offs, not for planning your own finances. Nothing on this site is financial advice. For decisions about your own money, talk to a qualified professional.
